A Matter of Time has probably been remixed about 50 times so I’m very familiar with it. Sometimes your are quite at the edge of what I would call harmonics, but you also gave it a very new fresh “face”.

Hi rocavaco,
Thanks for taking the time to listen with trained ears ! Yes, I now hear exactly what your saying with the harmonics, I put together a matter of time nearly two years ago and always felt something was off. as a non trained musician I’m unfamiliar with the many fundamentals associated, unless pointed out the ear won’t know. also, some samples were pieces of themselves stretch-pitched into four different octaves then delayed. —-ouch—— Sadly that computers hard drive crashed beyond repair and the tracks are gone. For me, redoing something over isn’t felt, remembering it the first way. I’ve come along way since, but do still struggle. the hardest is vocal Vs what key. lol—- back then , the only “key” i knew of was for my car.—— My proudest work is “Hearts on Redial” , I would love your opinion. all of my best. Happy New Yeay, Sincerely, Sal Marino |

Whilst the production to me seems pretty darn good, I’m not 100% convinced by how the vox and track work together. Don’t get me wrong, there are parts where the vox fit just right, but I can’t help feeling the vox sound divorced from your backing track in other parts.

The backing track composition and mix are very good, Sal. Agree with Scott on the vox analysis.
