This is really, really well done. I don’t think your listeners will know how hard this probably was for you to create - I know I considered this pella, but the BPM is really, really high.

You found a way to compensate for that by mixing some full-tempo and half-tempo elements by blending the full speed banjo with some dub-style bass and the hi-hat pedaling.

And the sirens and bystanders speaking combines humour and experimentalism in a great way!

Thank you. I almost didn’t post it because it was so relentless. The thing that made it so hard is the way Reason plays long samples (you always have to start from the beginning or you won’t hear it at all. That meant I listened to this a godzillion times, just dropping in the few elements I eventually used. I had ambitions of embedding more politically motivated samples, but after spending one night actually throwing up because of the relentless ear-worm from listening over and over, I had to stop.

I’ve always enjoyed audio theater and the lyrics and projectQ’s message lend themselves so well to the treatment.

Thanks for listening!

Hahahaha. You just described the process of every remix I ever made up until Propellerhead released Record 1.0

If you can somehow find the money to spare I strongly recommend you upgrade to the Record / Reason combo. It makes working with audio absolutely effortless and it seamlessly integrates Record in the workflow.

Oh, and re: this track? I find myself agreeing 100% with the good admiral for the umpteenth time today. He’s got a good ear, the admiral does.

Run C&W would be proud! Reason sounds like drag.
