i love this! the irony of a “classic country” interpretation of a pella called “i wanna be your ex” is not lost on me. :)

I love it - the best of Panu and the sustaining expert craftsmanship of the Old Dog…how can it be anything but super-fine?

AH! Randy Newman comes to CCM!!
So few tracks but so much going for it. Not many mixes make me want to re-listen straight away but this is one of them. Great vocal take by Panu and some fine lyrics. Love the coffee pot line! |

There are only a handfull of people here that through restraint can choose an appropriate vocal for their style, weave a little magic and understanding and make it their own.

I agree with RT- Newmanesque with some Bill Withers in there too, great vox; with the brillant backing provided by oldDog, this is a melancholy, wry gem indeed

Great job, OD. There’s something amusing about a guy called old dog remixing a song with a refrain saying “I’m not gonna beg.” I think the others above have covered the main points quite nicely, so just ditto me in. :-)

Like an slow Tom Waits track from the early years. Smokin pub, fat landlord…Congrat.
