I’m in the church of poetry, with the sun shining in droning wonder through the stained glass. I pause to see the figures of heroes and poets, carrying their wounds of martyrdom from the fields of Flanders, Compton and Johannesburg.
I think I see the faintest hint of smoke rising from the censer being slowly waved through the ether before the sanctuary, while the words of scripture rise and fall like fog from an open mouth, and the saturnine chill of realization arises, and takes its first breath. I’ve a weakness for organs, and the church of poetry, and the search, in short moments, for a fleeting glimpse of simple truth, gleaned from non-linear experiments in unsubtle and yet non-obvious simple melodies. |

I like this a lot. The original pella stays pretty much intact, but i think the mood is totally driven by your choice of strings. I’m very much a fan of Cliff Martinez, who scored the Solaris movie. If you’ve not heard yet, I’d recommend ‘Death shall have no dominion’ - sounds similar to your composition.
Nice work. Nice ambient mood you’ve created. |

Thank you Scott ! I found the ‘Death shall have no dominion’-part on YouTube. It took my breath away. So intense ! Thanks for the comparison, but it’s too much honour I think…
