Simple and elegant remix. Good swing and nice harmonys too. Which is surprising with the voice of Calendar is that we have the sensation that she changes her way to sing on every new remix..Especially when the remix is a successfull.. :-)

Nice and pleasant tune. Love your harmonisation. Wonder what it would have sound if you -d have invested 4 hours of work here!? ;-)

Thanks! I’m thinking about coming back to this, maybe another instrument, a solo break, something like that.. but one of the great remix-gods I’m not, I tend to err in the direction of “too busy, not enough attention paid to mixdown/mastering”, so there you have it… oh yeah, “too short” on everything as well…

Very nice, laid back and simple. Harmonies work well.
I like the way you can move effortlessly between styles. |

excellent, straight-ahead mix that keeps just a little bit of the malice. july is a love-you-but-f**k-you song like elvis costello used to make and you’ve kept that feeling nicely. yay!

When I saw your name on the “Recent Reviewers” list, *I* said, “Yay!” ;)
Yeah, after I made it, I was trying to think of what it reminded me of, I got that feeling of weariness with an edge from the vox, “Alison”, “Holding Back The Years” a little in there too… |

I think I like the July lyric best of the 12 songs.
I like this piano/vox version, especially as your backing beats and atmospheres fit very well here. I think you’re wise not to have gone too radical, but instead wrote an accompaniment that fits very well with the lyric. The ending cuts out on a “may”, when a final “maybe” and a little soft cymbal brush would have worked better. This is a good listen! |

Really nice work Duckett. Is that you playing?
Love this mix. Simple and to the point but bring so very much to the table. |

I really like the song… give me some more days and maybe I ll love it.
I dunno why, but I appreciate that straight forward sound of yours even more as I know that you *can* compose radical, innovative and crazy stuff … the fact, that you’re not just another mainstream producer makes the song somehow better. Maybe it influenced the way you did the song, maybe it influenced the way I am listening to it. I m quite tired right now, but instead of feeling low I just feel like above the air … because of your song. Great work and thanks for that feeling. |

I was lying at my couch yesterday when some random music was in my head, until I had an idea of a beat with pieces of your background music. Could you maybe upload the instrumental? I would love to try out that idea. And also the instrumental is just to good to be not shared with us ;) ….
