Overall enjoyable journey, AB
Many ups on the bass. Noticed this was a nobody left behind remix. Explains the roughness. The gain change from the backing track and piano to the first guitar riff knocked me back. The increase and decrease in guitar and piano gain seemed disconnected from the backing track/pad. The ending clicks rather ending on the smoove fade out glide path you set up. |

Well sorry to let you down. Thought I did ok with the hour I had, which given the hour it was, had to be in headphones. Can’t please em all I guess.

As noted, I read this was an heroic “nobody left behind” effort and also noted, in your initial secret assignment review, some guitar players mix hot. As long as mwic is happy, you da mann and the admiral of ccmixter fleet ‘;o) Gilbert and Sullivan should chime in here _______ ‘;0) You know we luv ya |

This could be a new Dire Straights “back to the roots” album trailer.
Or the result of David Gilmour meeting with Mark Knopfler. This is outstanding. And I must have missed the cool mwic samples… |

Great mix, beautifully played. But that sample mwic uploaded is, as he wrote in his description, part of the soundtrack from a short film (Sintel) and unless that film was scored by (as opposed to improperly uploaded by) mwic probably a violation of copyright?

Sintel was released with a creative commons license: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi... Part of my ongoing efforts to draw attention to the wider world of free culture (which I just did better at by putting the correct attribution line in the description for “scales”) :) |

Guitar work straight from the soul. Your piano playing is incredibly beautiful. I like the way the drum kit barely enters in spots, and then finally gets a voice near the end. The bass line is strong. Can’t believe how quickly you recorded this beauty — ready for film.

Sweet sound, you really have a mastery of your instrument.

The man with the golden fingertips! Like how you bend the strings so pain and soulfoul, how you put so much emotion in your play. Beautiful guitar playing, Bob! Always a pleasure.

Hope this isn’t taken the wrong way: it’s a shame there are “no shows” for secret remix. But that said, I always look forward to your “no one left behind” remixes, just to see what you come up with. Which is always very clever.

That’s some very tasty guitar playing. I wouldn’t mind seeing that one uploaded as a separate sample…perhaps…maybe…please…
