Really tasteful backing and arrangement; reminds me somehow of Joe Jackson in a more melancholy and subdued acoustic framework.

Maybe with just a touch of Elvis Costello?

Beautiful, Jeris!!! This goes on so well and so natural and so non-digital for a change, as if there would be neither 0 nor 1 in it. Simply beautiful.

Thanks! I tried a few things differently. This originally only had the piano so I really had to make it natural. There were still a couple of places with artifacts but the mix sort of covered it up.

Hey Jeris! Great mix and great arrangement. I found the snare a little ‘loose’ in the mix but that’s only a small issue because the mix is so tight and great otherwise! Great to have you back man :)
Cheers!

Thanks, yeah this was another live experiment. I tried to add a quantized groove after but didn’t really work. Probably just need to go in a manually move a few things that are too far off.

Sorry… Not the timing of the snare. That was just fine. I think it was the sound of the snare… like either too much fizzle or just too long of a snare hit. The timing is perfect though :)
Cheers!

Oh yeah, thought you may have meant that. Yeah that kinda bugged me right from the get go. I probably will change it.

Unable to recommend since I share wi-fi with another ccm person. However, I am experiencing a rain drenched day here and this reminded me of some many people who need to be remembered. What a moving way to do so. Thanks.

Jeris - this is an extremely sensitive and nuanced production which leaves Chris’s voice front and centre - where it should be.
