We could be in Chicago or St. Louis in a cool club, or in New Orleans in any of dozens of places. The way this tune respects the ‘pella and gives it room impresses me—and reminds me what is wonderful about this genre. I love the twinkling keyboads and the pan. There’s a horn or organ-like horn-like sound that’s so nice—but it’s way too low in the mix. It needs to pull up, fading in and fading out, just like it would if this were a Chess release 43 years ago.

This is solid work, and I really applaud your imagination and sense for good old-time vocals-supporting blues backing.

Hey I like the contrast between the laid back blues with the hard edge vocals. Cool….
