Welcome to ccMixter. I enjoyed your remix of Kara Square a lot! Some feedback: Excellent usage of space for the instruments; smart use of vocoding — not too much, just right; great levels for all of your channels; strong choice for genre with Kara’s vocals. Hey, just mentioned to Kara that I have uploaded a 2019 remastered version of the remix I made for her to ccMixter (replaced the original version). I fixed some issues in the low-end, added more punch to the drums, and fixed some minor details. Appreciate your feedback on the updated version.

Sounds great! The phasing stands out a little more — an effect I like :) Panning seems more expansive, giving it a fuller stereo sound for all the instruments.
My only criticism would be that bits of the vocoder are a touch high on resonance. I’d have to run the isolated channel through a freq-analysis to tell you which band … could also just be issues with my hearing, nothing to stop the presses over :) |
