FUNKY blues I like the hint of horns Rob mate but would have loved much more of them. As it is the track had me funking my head with my two hands swinging side to side in front of me as if they’re holding an invisible handkerchief, lol…VERY cool

Thanks Rey. I’m sure I could have done more with the horns, and everything else - if I had the mixing smarts that you have. Mixing-wise you’re a baroque architect and I’m a man who can just about construct a shed!

Nice and dirty. The horns are great. I Like the sound of your voice a lot. The track fits perfectly.

I echo the praises above. The excellent lyric, firmly on classic blues ground thematically but with a contemporary edge.
And then the music. With this piece you would have been the natural next act after Sly and the Family Stone at the Harlem Cultural Festival, Sunday June 29, 1969. Great track! |

Thanks for this excellent compliment.

Damn. This is cool and raw, yet polished. Something really tugging… reels me in like crazy. Something about the mix feels Ani D… the genre mashing, perhaps… and, of course, the poignant lyrics… solid, strong delivery… I’ll be back for more listens.
