Thanks! I was definately feel the grimey & distorted kind of sound over the weekend. :)

Any suggestions for improvement?

I’m always intrigued by the noise vibe. The riff is cool. The instrumental sound in the riffs is a bit more subdued than I think the piece deserves.

The popper synth effects seem a bit retro to me, although retro can be a good thing.

Still, this one is a fun listen.

since you asked, and i really wouldn’t call this a suggestion for improvement but more like a snack for thought. i almost wish you had dropped all of the vocal track out before it comes in all solo and distorted, and let it continue on from there. i think your mix is pretty solid and you could just build up to the vocals. just my 2 cents.

i like it when people slice up vocal tracks.

Any suggestions to bring out that musical sound you’d like more prominent? Do you mean the "xylophone" intrument or just taking the distortion down a notch?

I will once again lay blame at the feet of electrobeat and electroclash for some of my musical habits. :-D I love quite a few "retro" sounds (my brother in-law worked for Moog way back when, so maybe he deserves some of that blame).

Hmmmm, I think perhaps over the coming evenings and weekend I might slice up the vocals into parts in ACID and work out a slightly differant arrangement. It certainly would be a fun project. :)
