Hi & thanks for this. Again, very cool and great to hear the bass anchor the track & fill out the bottom end.
Interesting that you are including a “G” note in the riffing — adds some tension & “mood”. Hmm, I wonder how it might sound if, instead of the long G note, you experimented with a triplet of G-F#-E? Effectively making the G (a flatted 5th in the home key and a flatted 7th against the B chord) a passing note? Hmm, just a passing thought. I dunno. Anyway, thnx for another cool addition!

Thanks :)
I might try your suggestion. To me the G is now the most important note in the tune. To make it a passing note would change it completely.

Hi Martijn — yeah, that G definitely makes a statement! Maybe you are right — making it a passing note would certainly weaken the tension it creates, and might make for a less interesting bassline. Hmm, the long G is kinda growing on me …

I like listening in on conversations between people who know more than me (that’s a lot of people). In this case even though I couldn’t pick a G out of a line-up I know just what you’re talking about, and agree - it makes it. Nicely done.
