Apart from my obvious appreciation at having my piece picked up here I am also thankful for the reminder you convey in your notes. Many are the moments when my children are playful and joyful and I have an agenda that must be followed (or I am just impatient) and I yell and shut down the fun when maybe I could have chanelled the joy into the thing that needed to be done (the proverbial “Spoonful of Sugar” of Mary Poppins). While my poem was a bit of selfish reflection, your notes have given it a deeper richer context.

Thank you.

There is no excuse. I am sending a bar of soap for your mouth, or er… fingers… young man.

…although I have to agree with you 100% … :-)

I’m becoming quite a fan of your voice! I’m moving away from Peter Green and more to a young John Martyn before he grew the beard!

Also Essesq’s vocal piece sits very nicely in this scenario. The girl seems to be ending the year on a high note! So good for her and also good for you. But I think you’ve probably got it very good already!!

absolutely! the dialog of the two voices & the sound of them together is perfect. three cheers for the phenomenon of spontaneous production & spontaneous musings elevated to evocative art.

A fine piece of musical engineering Sir.

I appreciate your (essesq) pella timing with the beat. Too many spoken word mixes I’ve heard just drape the pella on top of an ambient background with no concern for timing.

Nice to hear the old voice box there. When will we be seeing more LS pella’s posted on here?. I’m certainly waiting to work on a follow up to IWIGWS?

Regarding the message… well said… Something i need to do more often (I’m just too sensible… ALWAYS planning and concocting the ‘what if’s’ instead of living the RIGHT NOW)…

Merry Chrimbus!

I was just listening this morning. Didn’t feel like talking. Then I heard this mix. It compelled me to comment. It is the perfect track for this moment. (I love it — the message, the phrasing, the mix, the tone.) Thank you.

Hey its great that some of this older stuff gets listened to . I am glad you liked it.

I was listening to a very educated computer guy the other day talking about music being something that has no purpose that we just `shake our asses to ’ as opposed to software that you can do something with.

I think you just neatly countered that view.

Music was here long before the math.
