colab 1986 Reviews	. permalink Mon, Feb 22, 2010 @ 9:31 AM Hey - this appeals a heck of a lot to my 80s sensibilities. :) I really like how the individual synth lines interact, and the harmonies are great. My only nag is that sometimes the vocals drown out behind the other elements and could stand out more in the mix. Nice one either way.

The vocal mix has always been a problem for me, because while it always sounds fine on my speakers, both home and car, and my headphones, everyone seems to say that the voice gets drowned out. When I listen to other professionally mastered songs, I notice that the voice is usually audible enough so that you can hear every word, but far enough back in the mix so that they don’t absolutely dominate everything. I wish I could find a happy medium.
