Yes. This is very appropriate. Very nice. Congratulations on finding this angle - I like it very much.
I am not in love with the string sound - although I put good money on it being due to these speakers making them sound shrill. I’ll be back later for a second listen to make sure. :) Nice work though. Really like the harmonies you picked for this. |

No, I agree - I don’t much like the strings, either. They’re very canned. However, as soon as I can I’ll replace them with some real violin playing by an expert - the other member of Do Kashiteru! :D

Very nice but yes the strings do spoil it. Neither string nor synth.
A little tip for what it’s worth. If forced to use a string sound that doesn’t quite cut it try riding the fader up and down a bit as the track plays. This helps to give the illusion that Yehudi’s giving it his best! |

A winning piano riff that, compliments the pella wonderfully. String… yeah, I know how difficult it can be to create authentic sounding strings (unless you have a real good VST or App Instruments, like Garage Band). I don’t think they sound to bad though (they do jump in pretty quick though, maybe some reverse reverb will soften them out)?

Love the piano with this pella. Sounds very good. I see others had a few things to say about the strings. I’ll admit my ear isn’t as finely tuned as other on this site, but i’m not offended by the strings. They seemed a bit to loud in the mix for me but that’s just taste as they say.
I really enjoyed this mix. Another ccMixter tune in my ipod. I wish it was a bit longer, but i guess we can’t have everything. Well done guys. |
