Since I’m not sure what glitch/breakbeat are? And limited experience with dnb, this review is probably going to end up sounding moronic but here it goes.
1. Wow to the beat orchestration. It sounds really hard to do with all stuttering and stopping? 2. I like how the whimsical feel of the orginal song has been augmented (ie tinklebells at the start). It feels like a modern take on a 1940’s musical number from Broadway circa “I left my hat in haiti” (Royal Wedding with Fred Astaire). Bottomline. It’s great! n9 |

production on this is really excellent. the styles you reference are all well represented here. you take a fairly long mix and make it interesting throughout. i like that you have plenty of dropouts to add dynamic breaks and shifts here, but i just have to say that for me personally, i like my stutter as a condiment rather than as a main dish. it’s effective here certainly, and this is just my bias, but i wish you’d used it a little less, which i feel would have highlighted it more.
great mix though for sure. thumbs up. |

yea, very effective glitching.
thanks for the cool “how i did it”, fyi I wrote up a method for doing breaks in Live that was linked to by Ableton that might be of interest. well done. |

haha - brilliant! I’m no expert on glitching, but I like this take - you’ve even managed to keep the song very recognizable. That break at around 2:30 is a highlight for me. And of course the little public service announcement adds a wonderful lightness to the remix. A great remix taking this song off the beaten path into a fun place! Love it!

Yep, very enjoyable. Certainly not a straight dance mix.
