Tools I Used
I used Magix Music Maker daw with the Cinematic Synth vst, Blade Pad. I played a monotonous drone over Beyond_Postcards to go with the mechanical mood. I cut and pasted bits of Not Yet Crossing Vocal throughout.

Original Samples
I created the drone sounding synth in C Dorian with three chords and their 6ths and 9ths. The file is attached, Blade Pad in C Dorian.
Process
First, Beyond_Postcards. I fiddled with different synth pads until I found one I liked, then recorded my track. Music Maker is glitchy and slowed down Beyond Postcards AFTER my track was recorded, but I worked with that. Did some dynamics then brought in the Not Yet Crossing Vocal, cutting, pasting, distributing the phrases throughout.
Other Notes
I really, really enjoyed working with both these samples! Beyond_Postcards has the best ending ever.
