How I Did It

Process
Picking the right sources from Sparky was pretty challenging.
I was playing with my DFAM that time and while what I did with it did not match at all (later on it did...) the TR8s's rhythm sounded promising.
After I while everything shifted into the right direction and I started recording. Well, it did sound like rubbish. Switched over to Ableton Live and things turned once again to the good. I had to warp the tempo a little bit to match 80bpm flat and finally the beats did match.
Some tweaking to the additional bassline from the DFAM and the nice "boom" gave the song another push into the right direction. I recorded various TR8 drum sequences and once again an my plan changed. Instead of the sequence I intended to use as main I found another part I did cut by mistake much more interesting.
Turned a part from the original bridge into a drone and used some part whose origin I could not identify (maybe it's from DJ Vadim? THE_CONCEPT_OF_ENERGY mentions him in the original upload of "Complicated") as an arpeggiator. Maybe that stretches the rules of the secret mixter once again. If you, please be forgiving.
Nearly there. Found the intro and the outro still a little bit to flat, to I used two phrases from the original pella to spice everything up. And here we are.
