I love what you did with this! Also great to see the story of how you did it :) Thank you!
I use Ableton Live too but before I found ccMixter I just had hundreds of “sketches” in session view but no completed songs. Working with others’ acapellas gave me the song structures and focus I was lacking. It taught me to love the timeline view and actually finish stuff. Working with other people’s genres has helped me learn new stuff too. |

Acapellas indeed make the process often really easier. Ableton is an impressive tool. The combination of powerful features and ease of use is really great. |

Great mix! You’re right… Secret Mixters often push us to create in different ways… different genres… and that creative push often inspires unexpected magic. You did that here. The vibe is different than your usual style and yet… it’s inspired and totally works.

i dig the intro with the far away vocal treatment in the stereofield. and then when the groove and bass drop in, framing the song, it really locks in with captivating force. great remix!!!

Thank you very much. I think the most challenging part was to make everything sound as if always should have sounded that way. Really did not expect it to work that good.
In regards of the stereofield: First I wanted to make it swing around, but than I found it better to be separated. This way the ambivalent message of the vocals gets more room. Well, at least that was my intention. :) |

Woah…this kind of remix suits you very well. And I trust you had to jump over some shadows here (compared to your older mixes).
But this side of the muscial Musikpirat is a very adorable side. The rhythm section works perfectly….and all the details with the strings and things…crazy!! but good. |
