How I Did It

Tools I Used
I used mainly ProTools for this track with some heavy timestretching, dynamics, eq:ing and some other effects. Some afterprocessing in WaveLabs including some slight levelling as the piece at first sounded very quiet. (There were some high peaks here and there that hindered the normalizing to do the intended work)
Samples I Used
Loops from artist Omnitechnomatrix (open loops) and loops from artist Heuristics Inc. (24Hour flu) both from Tapegerm Collective. Lyrics and reading by Josh Harrod (Floyd Summer Solstice). These samples are free to use if attributed.
Original Samples
The mashup of the samples indeed created new sounds never imagined before as they were timestretched at least a factor 1:50, but I did not produce own sounds besides the wacko processing.
Process
Mixing togeter in ProTools, with some compressors responding to other channels levels (=key input).
Other Notes
This was really fun to do and I plan to do more pieces with readings and sounds I find here. Josh has a very good voice so it was a joy itself in working with this reading. Only thing I had to do was to add a small eq and some compressor to have the voice come thru the thick-walled electronic sounds.
