Uses samples from:

Samples are used in:

Tools I Used

Software: Cubase 4, Omnisphere, Stylus RMX, Hypersonic 2, GuitarRig 2,

Hardware: Gretsch hollowbody guitar, VoiceLive harmonizer effect.

... and just like colab, I have paid for the software and hardware I use.

Process

That opening organic plucked rhythm thing is from the Software Synth "Omnisphere" by Spectrasonics. The patch is called "Chaotic Strumming Cue".

Added some additional guitar tracks (vibrato guitar, and the melody for the first bridge). That melody is a combination of my Gretsch, Bo Heart's piano track tuned down by an octave, and a softsynth.

The bass is a sampled softsynth pretending to be a finger played electric bass. It was tempting, but it would have taken me too long to practice playing the bass part on a real bass :-)

The drums are a hand crafted drum kit in Stylus RMX and then a hand crafted midi track driving that kit.

The ooohs are from Bo's original sample pack, and the other 4 part harmonies (with the words) were created with VoiceLive hardware.

Other Notes

This is as close as I get to jamming with my bro, since we're living 9 time zones apart. :-(
