Jesus came to me in a dream
And at the time I was a homeless man
I thought my life was over or so it seemed
Cause in that dream he took me by the hand
And said its time to make you understand

And change your behavior or will you still reject me

When I woke up it was the coldest morning
Had I survived the coldest night all year
And was it a dream or was it a warning

I was cold and confused was I still living
Or had I died a broken man
And why is the good lord so forgiving
Cause in that dream he took me by the hand
