Three times is a charm! 2025 I had the pleasure to draw Rewob and created Into Paradise (Sand mix), 2023 the result was Ocean Dreams (Parallelized). But to be honest, I did look up this just now.

So I started without any memories of the previous mixters in my mind and started listening. Lot of great remixes to work with, so I got stuck.

Eventually I decided to be smart and go for the old uploads. And even the first remix was a total killer! After some work I realized, that I was not the first one on that route.
Say hello to Apoxode’s 𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕥 ft. Rewob, Bernard L’ermite’ Runaway (Bernard L’ermite Remix) and Milky Blue’s I’m free (Rewob remix). I really encourage you to listen to them - they are great.

But back to myself and my journey. I like to speed up songs. Most times it does not work. Here it did. From 96bpm up to 140. But just increasing speed it not enough to call it a remix, is it? I wanted to make the song more wobbly. In the end there is now a high pitched wobbly synth playing a hook line from “Feel the beat”, which I transformed to midi and removed some notes at the end. In a call and response pattern I added a nasty, wobbly, crunchy line from my beloved Moog Mariana.

To give my remix some more drive, I cutted the original break’ish drums and replaced them with a four to the floor beat wich kicks, open hat, a tick, two claps and a tom roll from “Feel the Beat”.

As I tribute I kept four bars unchanged (except the increase in speed and a 4th bandpass, which adds a nice reverby echo without destroying the structure).

Not sure if the result fits in any genre. It sounds a little bit 80ish to me, on the other hand, for that time I think it is to fast.

And that’s it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed remixing rewob!
