Structured Emotions

A very “back-to-basics” approach sound-wise! Used simple synthesisers to create the main melodies but used more complex ideas with regards to vocals and percussion! I used chorus, delay and auto-tune with the vocals and constructed the beats using the raw samples (kicks, hi-hats, snares, etc) - All my own work no pre-looped samples used anywhere!) I completely redesigned the chorus, rearranging the vocals so they make no phonic sense, instead just sounding right, while using small snippets of the original verses during the actual verses! I cranked up the distortion on both vocal samples and hi-hats during the bridges which created an old-style asian film texture! I used some of the harmony parts and treated them with the same production as the lead vocals, while in the chorus I recorded my own vocals to create part of the lead melody line!
