In the little Arkansas town where I grew up, we went to Mrs. Nelson’s one-room red kindergarten. We learned the letters of the alphabet.
We learned about kindness to others and sharing. We learned to draw, and to use a number 1 lead
pencil with which to write.

Mrs. Nelson and her husband lived near the little kindergarten. She was something of a local naturalist, who knew the plants and insects and other natural things where we lived.

I remember kindergarten as a time of marches and sleeping pallets and unbridled innocence and fun.

I want to give a shout-out to Cableguys.de, whose freeware VST plug-ins Pancake and Filtershaper 2.0 (part of a special freeware VST package they kindly assembled) helped me add some space and sound to this mix. I am deeply grateful to freeware plug makers, whose work I admire.
