Sometimes she’s a rollercoaster
Sometimes she’s a breeze
She’ll put my head up in the clouds
Or bring me to my knees

Sometimes she’s a stormy night
Sometimes a summer’s day
She’ll block the road up ahead
Or find another way

Sometimes she’s like the English weather
Changeable, unpredictable
Or she’s solid as a rock
And utterly dependable

It’s the way they heal the oldest wounds
That’s why my baby loves typhoons

They knock you out like the oldest tunes

Sometimes she’s a frosty morning
Sometimes the sun’s first rays
She won’t stop criticising
Or she’s so full of praise

Sometimes she’s a tourniquet
Stop the flow when I bleed
She’ll chop and change the rules of the game
Now that is guaranteed

Sometimes she’s like cherry blossom
Transient, yet beautiful
Or she’s sturdy as an oak
And totally unmovable

It’s the way they roll like sand dunes
That’s why my baby loves typhoons

They knock you out like the oldest tunes
That is why my baby loves typhoons

Sometimes the storm clouds roll on in
And empty out their load
Torrents rage and flood my way
The sky seems to explode

Then as soon as it begins
It’s all over
The beating sun breaks out again
And I remember…
