I’ve been digging BOCrew’s ‘empire back’ track for months and originally planned to write something to it. Once I heard KCentric’s pella I knew I had a winner, plus it was somewhere in the ballpark of what I would have attempted to do. Perfect.

So I added another layer of drums, bass and a little piano in the hook to fatten up to my taste. Beware, though. I did add a little singing part to the hook and if you’ve ever heard my singing, well…. My DSP meter in my DAW jumped about 30% because I had to trash my part with a ton of fx just to make the cut. I wish I had a virtual singer on standby!!!

EDIT: I replaced the original mix with this new one because the old one was a little muddy.
