First came the Hydrogen racing through the developing cosmos like some excited child searching for unknown entities. Ahead in the distant future Oxygen was forming and together they would create the basis of all life.

A dune is a mound of sand formed by the wind, usually along the beach or in a desert growing from grains of sand created over millions of years from rocks being slowly worn away.

My sister was nine years older than me and became my unpaid childminder on many occasions. In the late fifties we lived on the island of Angelesy with its wonderful beaches and sand dunes. I was five and she was fourteen and with her friends she would take me with her to play along the coast.
