but don’t blame the fever for the sickness, you must get this, there’s still a soul inside the wicked even as they stand against us
what good is being good if good we can’t be? what life is being lived if love we can’t feel?
this is the secret of why this path is so dangerous, not just any hubris, for our weapon is forgiveness
the heart is a weapon like a blade, that can sway even slay, the claws and lines laid by the dark in pain
there’s no limit like a bottomless abyss only love can get us through this, with each other we persist

we’re gonna take this to the top, we won’t stop, like a raindrop starts a storm, the first cut reaps a crop
every soul saved is another shadow damned, every prayer made is another brick in the dam
that holds back the sickness that the darkness would inflict upon us twisting up our spirits with spiteful lies and tricks to rob us
of our nobility, left no dignity, no empathy, meant to leave us with no soul, empty
this is why we gotta stand strong … to bring the world a new dawn
stand with us if your ready, hold steady, breathe, we probably won’t survive this, but everybody sing with me
