TO JA - Wuszu feat. Masia (beat.Wuszu)

by: wuszu
I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THESE GUYS ARE SAYING, SO I CANNOT ENDORSE THEIR IDEAS, BUT THIS IS SOME NICE INTERESTING R’N’B STYLE HIP HOP COMING STRAIGHT OUTTA……….POLAND! I CLICKED ON SOME OF THEIR LINKS AND FOUND SOME NICE ENERGY THERE TOO.

HAVE TO SAY THOUGH, THE REAL REASON I RATE THIS SO HIGH IS FOR THE VOICE OF MASIA…EVERYTHING IS VERY GOOD, BUT SHE IS EXCEPTIONAL.
ASHWAN

LET'S TAKE IT BACK

by: ASHWAN
Classic Old School topped with Euro flavored ambience. If you’ve been out in the boonies somewhere you might not know that Ashwan is always delivering very solid hip-hop tracks to the masses. If I had to guess, I’d say he was a bit of a purist. Having said that, this track starts off with an almost Enigma or Massive Attack type intro and then delves into one of the grooviest grooves I’ve heard in a minute. The drums, bass and guitar alone are enough to satisfy my appetite for music. It kinda has a reggae vibe to it, but its distinctly hip-hop and all of the lyricists are on par with the production. I know you’ll enjoy this one.
Pat Chilla The Beat Gorilla

Just Like Me

Everyone here at CC Mixter has the greatest respect for Pat Chilla the Beat Gorilla . This track shows us why. Very smooth and simple on the surface. Tons of goodies inside. This is one tasty piece of ear candy. : )

Black Atlantic

Head snapping funk reminiscent of Bowie’s Young Americans era.

I resisted posted this as a ‘pick’ because of the nepotistic connection to this track, DJ Peregrine being my son after all, however after several days of enjoyment and pleasure I throw ethical caution to the wind and say let me and the Speaker of the House go down in flames together.

Bens Werk

Calm, funky, beautiful. A deceptively simple but emotionally deep remix of a remix. Speaks volumes, if not IN volume, about the power of building on previous works. Or is t “werks”?

Digital Data

by: ASHWAN
The cockney rapper stikes again. ASHWAN struts through the track with a jazzy acoustic bass, holding down the bottom while Curious trades spits with Chatterbox for a quick verse each. A short turn but defies you to not bob your head to the backbeat while both Curious and Chatter cuts through, up and around the beat.

Inner Child

by: Falik
I wish I could do something besides play guitar. Someone ought to sample this. Great Middle Eastern sounding track.
Neeru Paharia

nervous refix

This totally rocks.

Making Me Nervous (UNIT-E Mix)

by: Sharp
An amazing remix of one of my favorites indie musicians (Brad Sucks). This remix is definitely worthy of club play!
DJ Matt Hite

Destination Non-Specific

Another acoustic gem from Colin Mutchler. Similar to- My Life(prevoius pick) but with vocals and some more guitar. Very beautiful.

Givin it Back 2 Back (feat. Curious)

I think this track says it all. Not an entirely new concept but one that needs to be exploited more here at CC. Fourstones + Curious + Lisa DeBenedictis +DJ Peregrine + Pat Chilla combine for a friendly groove. What are you waiting for? :)

Samurai Story

Shockshadow makes music for all us 30 - somethings out there who got tired of techno and trance music a long time ago. Refreshing, mature and above all treats the listener with respect. Music that makes you feel smarter than you actually are. Well me anyways. : )

Plus anyone who gets inspired by Jet Li film ( turns out it was actually a double-bill of Hero and Last Samurai he was watching) and then goes makes a song about it is A-OK in my books.

A Night In the Desert

Peaceful, serene, beautiful. An ambient dream.

shockshadow really does capture the mood of a night in the desert in this one: dark but hopeful, steady yet melodic. By the times the drums kick in you see the clouds clearing from the bright moon and stars lighting up the night.

Just about every sound in this piece is in the right place.

Excepting this Fat Reaction

Electronica with soul , creative and exciting. The perfect blend of engaging but not distracting. The amount of effort put into a Minus piece is masked by the smooth, seemless results.

If you liike instrumental virtual turntable music, Minus is definitely a Mixter to watch.

Still People

A modern classical ditty that doesn’t require a PhD from Juliard to appreciate.

The production quality is not totally professional but the composition is so strong that it touches the listerner with it’s honest emotional reach.

Weird Polymer is a great Mixter citizen uploading not only wonderful compositions but the source files allowing remixers full access to these deceptively simple but complex arrangement.

If you’re ready for a break from high-energy or experimental forrays, Polymer is for you.
