remix of a 6/8 time signature track

Hi guys i am new in doing a remix and i ve got a question :
when you do the remix of a track written in 6/8 when you change the tempo of the part of the track used do how do you deal with the 6/8 time signature? any tips? thanks in advance guys |

I feel it’s a trick question. :)
Changing the tempo shouldn’t make a difference, because you could change the BPM of the entire source and use it the same way that you had originally intended. More importantly, is the track you’re working on 6/8 or 4/4? If you use a 6/8 source for a 4/4 track you have a few options: - find a BPM that is a multiple of the original and that allows you to fit each 6/4 bar in the same span of your 4/4 (here’s a good example - listen to how it starts as 6/4 and then later fits cleanly into a 4/4 structure) - chop up the source track and either cut parts that don’t fit, or insert silent space between bars Hope this helps. |

6/8 will line up with 4/4, just make sure the accented beats aren’t disruptive to the general rhythm and feel.
i don’t know what you’re using, but usually, i just re-time and warp everything anyway. you can just warp it and make it line up. |
