I love the philosophy of kissing the wave. The Sufi poet Rumi asks the question, “where will you plant your grief seeds?” I studied under a Teacher from Ireland that taught me to “not waste my suffering” — and being a gardener, I’ve learned suffering is like compost…it makes all that are nourished by it grow stronger, greener, and helps them bear more fruit. So Amen to kissing the wave.
