This is an interesting version. I enjoyed it. I think I would like it better closer to 4 minutes, but it’s hard to knock it for that, as it’s a lot of fun the way it is.

the constantly panning synths give a disembodied feel, conjures up warm feelings in me!

It’s been a while since I’ve heard a ‘straight ahead’ version of this — I like it, although to my ears there seems to be missing a little UMPH to the drum sounds in the first half, the crescendos (sp?) don’t really bowl me over like I’m assuming they were supposed to.

The second half (around 3:00?) gets a little heavier and it definitely hit me harder (that’s good).

The parts at 5:15 made me smile in a kind of Who Baba O’Reilly way ;)
