Oh…he’s back. This time with a lovely soft Stax/Otis/Staples sound. As usual that special Unreal_dm live feeling. It´s great (and a sign of a true pro) when people manage to stick to their own trademark sound, like you do, with maintained respect for the original pella artist, the lyrics, and the character of the voice like in this tonight’s last dance arrangement. Thumbs up!

yeah, this is pretty damned great. i’m becoming a huge fan of your arrangements. keep up the killer work. you’re really establishing yourself nicely.

i just love how you take a pella and build your live arrangements around them. and man, i love that leslie organ you like to toss around. just top shelf stuff every time.

Hammond organs, the heavyweight gorillas of the keyboard world.
Those tone-wheels spit and growl at you. After a “real” piano it is my first choice for a keyboard.

Now where’s that crane.

Thanks for all the comments.

so are you playing a real B3 with the full leslie setup? those things are monster huge. your panu arrangements really remind me alot of the kind of stuff the jerry garcia band used to play with melvin seals. great stuff.

Oh how I wish I had room for one.

I used to listen to The Grateful Dead a lot in the early seventies great band, but back then there were so many great exponents of this type of music.

Very elegant. Terrific idea, and produced with just the right number of elements. I like this a heck of a lot.

I have a little trouble reconciling the phrasing and relationship between the music and singing, but I am in awe of the skill it took to make this work. I think I would really grind something out though if that band we backing me up, and I live in Chicago, so it all fits…

I can see why you would have difficulty reconciling the relationship between the music and the singing as I suspect it’s very different to how you originally saw the piece.

Apart from lining up the vocal track at the beginning I did leave the main vocal track untouched.
Although I did copy some phrases from the end and used them as a second vocal.

The Pella it’s self is an outstanding piece of work.
