What gave you the dragnet idea? the M.A.S.K. track? Sounds kinda noir :)

Decided to use a movie or TV audio track before I was assigned a mixee. Was looking for a public licensed audio tracks from a beach party movie. The search was in vain. But, I found Dragnet radio broadcasts and remembered Stan Freberg’s St. George and the Dragonet from my childhood. It is still a favorite of mine.

M.A.S.K. was a bonus. Gave the broadcast a lot of flavor. Could have done the whole track just using the M.A.S.K but wanted to take a tour of KarmaHackerLand.

Thought mixing the wolves with police sirens would be fun stray dogs in the city humor.

Marijuana is the flame, heroin is the fuse, LSD is the bomb. So don’t you try to equate liquor to marijuana, Mister, not with me. You may be able to sell that jazz to another pothead, but not to somebody who holds some sick kid’s head while he vomits and wretches on a curbstone at 4:00 in the morning. And when his legs get enough starch into them so he can stand up and empty his pockets, you can bet he’ll have a stick or two of marijuana. And you can double your money he’ll turn up a sugar cube or a cap or two. So don’t you con me with your mind expansion slop. I deal with kids every day. I try to clean up the mess that people like you make out of ‘em. I’m the expert here, you’re not.

Dragnet: The Werewolf. I’d play this game if it was a game! Nicely done texasradiofish!!! Your police force in action and it’s rather cool! :)

Werewolf in the city, who also robs people, chased by police. Could be a video or a role playing game. Hadn’t thought of that. Good input, MJ.

Thanks, Emily. Glad you found the humor in some of the silliness that went into this piece. It was like having two assigned sources. Use Karmahacker’s samples and the Dragnet audio track. Was fun to cut and paste!

Why can I not avoid thinking of Frank Drebin, and not Joe Friday? :)

Great turning KarmaHacker into sound effects and modern backing music. Happy werewolf hunting. :)

“Sergeant Frank Drebin, Detective Lieutenant Police Squad”, The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear.

Now you’ve got Drebin in my head. Maybe Dragnet now seems as silly as Police Squad but not on purpose. The Dragnet exercise was silly fun for me “:0)
