I dig that you remixed in 6/8 time (one of my favorites to compose in, perhaps to a fault). I love the patience and mood of the introduction. A wonderful ambient tone created by strings and bells. When the rhythm enters, a completely new depth and angst is evoked. The electric guitar work is brilliant. The delicate nature of the final section is so emotional and lovely. This is an extremely well crafted arrangement and production, and is worthy of film. I would Ed Pick this if I weren’t included. Thank you so much for remixing me. Beautiful artistry.

fantastic music. I mean - absolutely incredible music. this needs to exist as an instrumental only version, because it’s so strong - the writing and production are both stellar.

side-note re: beat - the end result to the listener is actually 4/4 with 1/8T. probably 130bpm. try it. :)

You are probably right regarding the beat. I sometimes find it hard to find the right beat and it can even mean that I choose not to remix something I like.

The vocals were actually the biggest inspiriation for the music. Which ofcourse doesn’t mean that the song won’t work without them.

Thanks for listening and your kind words.

this is one of my biggest challenges myself. I often find that there are elements that - although they were critical to making the track possible in the first place - are not essential to the finished piece.

of course, sometimes they are entirely essential.

and it’s very, very, very difficult to tell when it’s the one or the other. so I’m glad you stuck with your gut instinct.
