Ok, I actually rate this a 3.5 due to the quality issues you’ve already eluded to, but I decided to round up to 4 instead of rounding down to 3 for one reason…….This track sounds like a "B" side of an early 80’s Prince track or better yet, an offspring one hit wonder group produced by Prince (Vanity 6 or The Family anyone?). The thing is, though, I really liked those groups and the grooves they possessed. Clean this track up and make some arrangement changes and you could have a seriouis retro-brand new all over again track on your hands. Its the one genre that really hasn’t been revisted by popular music yet and its time is coming. You can count on that.
