Hi Ivan , this is very smooth , but with a nice emotional theme. The two main vocals work well together. The underlying piano loop is good. Nice touches in the middle and at the end (heart beat)

wow, that was fast (your comment, I mean)! Thanks for the review. I agree ManoloCamp’s piano/ synth loop is good. Maybe you could add that CCTwins touch to his stems? :)

Yeah just got home from work (early for once) and there was your track. Agree the piano loop might work in the way you suggest, i will see what can be done

PS your sushi session sounds like fun

thanks mr moon. btw, your tip on layering and panning the vocals helped alot. perhaps that’s why the vocals sound clean.

Very nice job on this Ivan! I know all too well the time involved finding multiple stems that go well together. It flows nicely and after a hard day it made me very relaxed.

Surprisingly, looking for the stems for this was quite easy. One of those attempts that seem to fall in place once things got started. Hmm… I’m listening to this on another machine and detecting a high hiss and some buzzing from too high a volume. Darn, this mixing thing is tricky.

Mmmmm. What a delicious remix — melodic, lovely, and not without surprises! Terrific use of the samples.

Thanks! I’ve always wanted to use some rap samples, but never found the right sound/ musical idea. As I replied to copperhead, the pells for this remix were surprisingly easy to find. I wish I had exercised greater inventiveness for Anomaly_Jonez’s pell. Maybe next time, now that I discovered her voice.

I like it a lot well done. I under sang these parts deliberately and for me they only fit this kind of soft backing. So you are spot on with your choice of sounds arrangement and tone and have cleverly reinvented the message with the additional samples.

I’d say I knew exactly what I was doing, but I’d be lying! In truth, I hesitated about using your pell. Your stems already had a boatload of great remixes and I inevitably compared my mix to others. But I went ahead and gave it a shot. Am very, very happy that it’s got your approval. Thanks for commenting!

I think I like the triangle best. :) Well, I am exaggerating a bit. But small touches like that do really make a difference.

To my ears, this sounds a little like what you’d get if Roxy Music had come along 30 years later… Loveshadow sounds a lot like Bryan Ferry on this.
