thanks! the feel-good quality was already inherent in the vocals and guitars. those were fine stems.

Intimate but with some simmering strength behind it. The acoustic chimes prettily.

A very nice and mellow tune. Before reading your “How I did it” I thought that the effect on the vocals were intentional.

Heh, it was one of those pleasant unintended consequences. I wish I could replicate it on my own though. Thanks for commenting!

Great mix Ivan! This is different for you. I see you’re “Not Afraid” to discover new sides of your musical self.

Quote: Fireproof_BabiesThis is different for you. I see you’re “Not Afraid” to discover new sides of your musical self.Hmm… I should say this is closer to my preferred side. Sort of the original ‘me’ before I discovered rock/ pop/ metal. Actually, I’m pretty chicken when it comes to exploring musical ideas! For instance, I hesitate to try jazz/ blues/ other genres that I hear in ccM. Anyway, glad you liked the track. Thanks for letting me know!

it’s the simple beauty of uncomplicated songs that has brought us to where we are today. this one is a beauty, sung beautifully & displayed beautifully. very much up my musical alley.

Hi Ivan … the acoustic guitar bounces along beautifully with the vocal, the other elements fit to make a fundamentally optimistic, happy sound (perfect for a warm day like the one we had yesterday (First one this year in the UK))

Hi Ivan!
What a moving remix! And guess what? Just the day of my birthday. Yes!

A perfect morning starter, which matches the season too, here in Marseilles! May I ask for more of this kind?

I wish Chris Horne could come back with other a capellas, even if his MySpace page is no longer active. A real discovery.

Thank you very, very much
Phil

Consider this track a dedication to you then! Happy Birthday, and you’re welcome. Actually, Thank You for sharing your guitar stems.

More of the same? I’ve an idea for another of your guitar stem but no guarantee that it’ll be something you’d like, heh. Cheers!

Thank you for the kind words, Phil. I’m back. Ihad bowed out for a while due to personal tragedy but am happy to return. I’ve uploaded a song of mine called Proteus, check it out. I’ve included a mix with my guitars and an acapella as well. I’m redoing the acapella soon as there are spots with harmonies that might throw some remixes off. Let me know what you think! Chris

The backing track is very nice - very calm. I don’t love the vocal effect - but that’s a minor thing - the overall feel of the track is very nice. Good one.

Heh, you don’t love it but you don’t hate it either LOL. Just kidding. As I explained in the “how i did it” section, it was the most efficient way to get some of the vocal parts to fit. Either that or write to Chris :)

Nice work, Ivan. Hadn’t heard this wonderful remix until now. I’ve been missing for a while but now i’m back. I’ve uploaded a new one called Proteus. One has my guitar and vox and one is just acapella. Hope you like it! Chris
