I like the mix of spoken word and driven pells here. Clear and minimal approach to backing which gives a nice foundation for gathering interest. I wouldn’t mind some areas of increased aggression or solid breaks to accentuate the meaning of the pells, but it isn’t necessary. Nice title.

Know what you mean. I thought of putting in a few parts to give it some edge but decided that the vocal was the important thing and the backing track just there to help it along. Besides the Kcentric part was pumping it along as it was.

Thanks.

Great mashup RT… chorus does go well with Colin’s spoken word piece.

Thanks

Thanks!

Only used a small part of your vox but it really worked for me. Great vocal sound you have by the way. Got something special there.

love the eastern feel to the musical backing to Colin’s spoken word here…interesting concept mashing these two vocals together, especially considering the musical styles you chose to blend.

Yes those parts do have an Eastern feel but to be honest it came about by chance. I had created a little synth bell sound and underpinned it with some Reaktor sound generators programmed to randomly pick out the same notes.

Thanks for the fine words!

Yeh that scratching does sound a bit cartoonish now you mention it! The sound was in a wav. sample that I liked a lot. I could have isolated it and EQ’d it down but well never mind heh!
