interesting moody composition. deep strings and emotional keys are beautiful. you pulled all the sections together perfectly. i felt like i was in a smokey lounge listening to her belting this out with some fly cats backing her on piano and strings. nice job!

You really should stop it with these wonderful compositional elements, I find impossible not to mess with them lol ;)

Great work on the vocal, and I really like the way you followed the dynamic of the vocal with the instrumentation….giving it an unpredictable and uncertain element for me.

I really like the strings and piano, I’d probably mess with the bass and drum loops a little.

Maybe this one needs some brass, where’s stefsax when you need him?…sheesh :D

that’s great, i look forward to you messing with them!
Yes, a sax solo would be great - and you’re right about the drums- the samples I have aren’t very inspiring (excuses!), think I’ll be using more ccMixter samples in future…

yeah you’re right about the strings, I was lazy and used ones that were easier to work with (the better ones take forever to upload each time you start work…)
Thanks for the comments (and on Dedicated)

great great piece of work and a great move to post the samples (hence the brilliant re-remix)

thanks for hanging out here.

thanks Victor, and thanks again for that tip about the downloads site - I’m playing with them as we speak (new toys…)
I’m just beginning to get the hang of these new tricks now, after a shaky start(!) - this site has been a truly amazing experience for me, I love it’s philosophy.

This is wonderful. I love the piano and the jazz feel you get. It all works very well, traditional and yet not just “retro”.
