I had been wondering what the essesq version of this might sound like. Now I know! :-)

More seriously - this is my favorite poem of yours yet. Not only because of the uplifting topic, but it struck me as a very carefully crafted journey of word and image association. With not an extraneous syllable to be found.

If it took you quite a while to get it this compact and precise, it shows in the high quality of the result.

If on the other hand, you just whipped this up, I would have to hate you for having that much talent without working up a sweat. ;-)

Bless you Spinmeister, giver of instant gratification :-).

To be fair, I have been thinking about writing a poem on this topic for a very long time. I worked at it months ago, gave up, and then two words led to about 10-15 minutes of writing this evening.

Alas, as I have no real work ethic in my creative life, stuff has to come quickly or not at all … :-)

Only 5 years late on the thank you… That darn question will dog me for the rest of my days, in more ways than one…
