And having seen the whales on several occasions up and down the pacific coast makes it doubly easy to relate to this work. They are indeed incredibly special creatures and I sure hope we don’t loose them due to the seemingly endless expansion of our human footprint on this finite sized sphere we call Earth. Nat Geo here in the US recently aired a program on the Giant Pacific Octopus and showed researchers around your general neck of the woods. Pinch yourself - you are damn lucky to live there. Thanks for the warm welcome back. Ultimately you must realize that a whole heck of a lot of this remains your fault :-).
