great small orchestra arrangement. puts Scomber in an Elton/Neil Diamond-esque vibe and drives the message home…

Yes! A sonic romp! This is indeed FUN. Bouncy. Exciting. Fantastic and creative.

Also, I love your description. It’s easy to get swayed by that little guy on the right shoulder. Thanks for amplifying the angel’s message.

A rousing, jazzy backing that’s a perfect energy match for Scomber’s vocals. Nicely done.

(And I think I’ll be having some fun with those samples. Thanks for sharing.)

that piano!! and the horn section! you’ve mastered the cabaret genre like no other - with delightful hopefulness. that break in the middle before the artful bridge is true brilliance. bravo!

Brushes! In the room piano. I feel like I’m right on stage with Scomber. I want to plug in a ES335 and add some guitar pickin’ but satisfied to just listen. The string parts take it out into the night, as the sax meanders into the street, following a firefly into the moonlight. Awesome!

A beautiful piece of music, well played and put together. I like the sound too, everything is in place and works well with Scomber’s voice. The central break with the distorted voice is beautiful, very dreamy and then the sound of the band returns, even the ending is perfect. I really like it

Oh come on! This is a brilliant use of source material, and a fabulous showcase for your talent. The piano driven orchestration and story telling are stellar. Bravo my friend!

Yes! Very cabaret. Dark, slightly dissonant. Love the jaunty piano chords and horns driving it along with those brushes :) Thanks SD!

Wow, nice mix and smooooth, rich orchestration. Love the dissonant piano around 2:55.

Plus, Scomber’s never sounded more like Jagger than on the refrain “took a pieeeeeece…” ;-)
