Thanks! After years of accumulating samples and musical instruments I am now trying to control my mixing so that I only use the minimum to get the sound I want.

I’m just sniffing at remixing, but I do think I understand. Less is better. Thanks for that important lesson, Shelf!

i love your drum sounds. how do you create them? i have visions your mother baking pies in the kitchen while listening.

The drums are from my kitchen collection which includes various sizes of pots and pans and matching lids :0)

Seriously I always keep a few drum sticks with me and a digital recorder so if I find something worth tapping on I’m up for it. On this mix it’s mainly Kontakt percussion samples with a Porsche exhaust added for extra kudos

this garage sound of the drums is really appealing. and funny thing to mix the arp into that blues groove.

Thanks! The BT is actually made up from 2 mixes and the arp sounds came with one so I just left it in as it seemed to fit.

I love clear, punchy mixes like this one. Very nice melody. Excellent instrumentation. *bows*
