I think the Baroque is an interesting epoch. The beginning of the musical Baroque is marked by the compositions by Claudio Monteverdi. It was a characteristic of the time at least equal to the mold ascribe much weight as the content. During the Baroque period, the emancipated - previously strictly linked to the vocal - instrumental music.

Many thanks for this! Sometimes my girlfriend asks why I don’t play a melody. With this I tried. I would like to play more Renaissance and Baroque melodies — I think it’s cool music.

Oh yes, there are from this period, wonderful melodies and compositions. These can be very well connected with electronic sounds. See the synthesizer adaptation of Wendy Carlos “Switched on Bach”. A great work. This album played a major role in popularizing classical music.
