The last time I listened to some old tapes of mine was when I recorded them into my computer for conversion into mp3’s. At first it was fun hearing them again after all that time, but in the end it was pretty dreadful. The really old ones I had thrown away years ago, although one or two people still might have a copy to use against me when I become famous. ;-)

Anyway, another good tune from you. How do you record your drums?

Hehehe…. I’d like to hear those tapes. I’ve been recording the drums in one of 2 ways recently. The first way is utilized here. Zoom H2 using the back mics (120 degrees stereo) 10’ away from the drums; And about 4’ off the ground. The other way (also with the Zoom) is behind, and above my head using the front 2 mics: 90 degrees separation. Recording to wav files. There are other options on the recorder that I haven’t tried yet. Thanks for reviewing Sub!

I always have referential thoughts when I hear your music (which also often reminds me of my early days in grungy Hollywood nightclubs) — this time, hints of Velvet Underground association lingered in my ears…not necessarily sounding like the Velvet Underground, just reminding me of certain feelings I’ve had when listening to the Velvet Underground i the past.

Thank you very much SackJo22! The Velvets are in my top 5 for sure. Maybe the synth bass or live drums gave you that thought. I play sittin’ though; Not standing like Maureen. My vocals are very influenced by Lou: the sing/speak way he would deliver. However, I’m not singing on this one.
