I really liked it. Wonderful synth sounds. A little like 80’s ear candy (which I like) but fresh-sounding. Thanks!

if you want some inspiration for your electronica inspiration with female vocals i can suggest you to listen to Bjork :)
no really this remix is inspired by the work of an italian singer, she’s called Elisa, she sings in english and her second album was totally electronic (Asile’s world) try to searh it somewhere, a really good album.

Lisa:

thanks a lot for commenting really, i appreciate when a remix of mine meets the taste of the original author :)

ps
sorry for the bad english, blah blah and so on, i’m italian, a lazy one :)

The intro appeals to me, although the initial vocal fx before the verses begin doesn’t quite work for me.

The verse and melody interplay is very winning. The synthy melody works pretty well, and makes Lisa’s voice sound quite rich. Although I certainly never mind a trace of dissonance, I imagine that the song might improve if the sound could be a bit “warmer”, both in terms of a prettier synth sound and maybe in the sense of the MIDI “warm” effect. I think the song might also be helped by more melding in the mix of voice and melody, and perhaps a little lower sound level on the melody.

I like this song. It’s quirky and different, and perhaps even “it’s brilliant”.

The relative silence after “tender hands and quiet minds” is a good respite. The echo effects in the refrain are workable.

I always want to do something with Ldb’s vocals in a really electronica setting, but I never at all succeed. The approach you’ve adopted gives me some ideas, but I’d be more inclined to sample the instrumental portions to make into completely different songs.

Thanks for sharing this one.
