I like this very much. The things you’ve added to the source - the genuinely poetic lyrics, the melodically subtle vocal with its careful use of layering and echo, and the elements of enigmatic psycho-drama - are all very much your own. I love the opening line ‘In the sky birds are pulling rain’, and the way it switches into French just before the fade is a typically perfect touch.

It took me a few listens to get past my own history with this source but it’s definitely been Diaphanized!

Thank you very very much Robert for your attentively listening and analysis …as always :)
As I said in my description, I didn’t mix your own mix, but your version was such a big inspiration, your work had to be mentioned … :)
I tried not to copy you…..not easy cause it was in my mind.
I’m happy for the lyrics, because I’m not an english native speaker and I am always afraid making big mistakes !!!!
Thank you again, have a nice evening !

So much passion and obvious inspiration here… it’s powerful. Your voice is amazing, Diaphane. Haunting and wonderful.

I loved what Robert did with Jav’s sound… it’s vivid in my memory. Awesome that it inspired your creativity. And so cool that you shared the background of your piece. This is one of the many things I love about ccMixter… the cycle of inspiration.

Thank you sooooo much Kara !!!!
Like you, I fell in love with Robert’s work, and I agree 100% with your lyrics so deep and true as always…I know how much it’s difficult to make someone or something disappear from our mind, when it’s obsessional :)
I’m happy sharing with you birds ( singing in my garden ) from my little french town !!
