Uses samples from:

Tools I Used

magix samplitude 14
Bram Bos' Tunafish, which is a software sequencer for windows which is now free at brambos.com.
The following VST synthesizers:
Adonis 2 (a wonderful synthesizer with lots of great presets) and
Ironhead Spawn, a percussion synthesizer offering more kitchen-drawer percussion than you can shake a stick towards.

Samples I Used

The Midi track from the listed sample moogish bass

Process

I put the midi file into my synthesizer and looped it througout the piece. I varied the midi melody. I set up Tunafish to play it as an organ melody from the Adonis 2 synth presets. Then I set up several rhythm tracks using Ironhead Spawn's various synthesizers and created the piece.

Other Notes

I go back and forth on whether I introduced enough variation in this 24 second midi track to hold the listener's interest.
